Whenever the TrueGUI service is started or a TrueGUI capable connection is opened, the license status will be checked. If you have the TrueGuiMachine_Sn.Lic and TrueGuiUer_Sn.Lic files in the License folder the software will run. If you do not have a vaild license files TrueGUI will use the Demo_License files for 30 days. After that you must email your Activation code for your specific PC to TrueGuiAuthorization@alphamicro.com.
Once you have paid for the software a return email will contain your Serialize License files. These must be placed (unmodified) into Program Files\Alpha Microsystems\TrueGUI\License folder. Once there your software is fully license and Activated. If you build your own client or move from the original installation location, be sure to move the license subfolder as well.
The activation process involves providing Alpha Microsystems with payment and contact information with company name, and the system User name and the Machine Key. In return, with a paid license, you will get an "Unlock Code".
Each client PC's codes are unique and tied to the hardware in the PC (like Windows XP's activation code). The standard "standalone" licenses CANNOT be transferred between PCs, including to an upgraded PC. If you plan to do a massive client rollout and find this difficult to manage contact us for your unique requirements. We offer an automated licensing server to handle this more efficiently to meet your specific needs.
Payment
You can either pay for each activation as it is requested or you can call us and order a block of licenses. If you buy a "block", then you will be given payment verification information to include with each Activation Request. We will then count that activation against the number purchased.
Alpha Microsystems' resellers, depending upon credit status, can pay one by one by including their dealer ID and a purchase order ID. They will be invoiced for the purchase. Please contact us if you would like to inquire on becoming a reseller.
Currently, credit card payments can only be accepted by phone or fax.
Sending an Email to Alpha Micro
Special Note for Beta Testers: Please backup your application a Form files. Then un-install all Beta test versions.
Press the Copy to Email and enter your Purchase order number or Payment option in the email and send it to
TrueGUIAuthorization@alphamicro.com
Now press [Close].
You will now have to wait for a Return email that will contain the attached License files. Save them into Program Files\Alpha Microsystems\TrueGui\License without modification. Once there TrueGui is then activated.

Once the two License files are located there, the activation process is complete. You may execute TrueGui.Exe or GuiClient.Exe to connect to your application server. We encourage you to use the TrueGui software.
